I bought this a little over a month ago to use with my Garmin HRM dual heart rate monitor. I replaced the original Garmin chest strap with this one. It worked great and tracked my heart rate well for a month. Then it started getting shaky readings, like my heart rate stayed below 90bpm for the first half mile, then jumped to 165 and stayed there or above for the rest of the run. I've washed my chest strap a few times, shaved off my chest hair, used water and electrode gel, changed the battery in my HRM and even reset my Garmin watch. The HRM was never disconnected from my watch, but with a chest strap the readings were far off and sometimes just showed a blank spot during use. I have two Garmin HRM dual monitors and switched my work monitor to this strap and also got incorrect readings. The problem is clearly in the harness. I've only ever used it for running and have never run in it, even in the rain (although more moisture should improve its performance). A little over a month later I'm throwing this chest strap in the trash. It worked fine for about a month and then stopped. It's a shame, especially since it's a fairly simple device.
