This bedspread is so SOFT! It's really very soft. I have a Cal King and I like to turn the bedspread to the side so the sides hang even longer. There's still a lot of overhang at the bottom of the bed and the stitch pattern looks good that way. The haircut is very pretty. I don't see any disadvantages at all. And the color is gorgeous! It's not too pale and certainly not too light. Very luxurious! I live in a warm climate and find the weight ideal for sleeping under 70 degrees. It's definitely not a winter quilt, but it's not as light as a sheet either. This set comes with two king pillows which are a little tight; not roomy like my old ones but they are just decoration so I don't care. It's all about the bedspread and I'm so glad I bought it!
