The Neewer 30x30 Softbox exceeded my expectations. I find that the light has a very pleasant softness due to the double diffusion. I tried it as soon as I received it and for $40 it's a very good deal. It appears to be well built and I love that it comes with a Bowens mount. (I personally don't like the type that just slides over a mounting ring and stays in place thanks to its own spring). I don't know how durable it will be but it looks like it will hold up well for me. I'm just an amateur so it should serve me well. Judging by several people's reviews, I was really scared of the gathering. Upon receipt, I sat down on the floor and installed the rods into the softbox in about 3 minutes with no instructions. I found it easy and didn't take much effort to assemble the fabric and ring onto the bars. I just inserted the sticks in pairs directly opposite each other and it was easy. The large end of the rod enters the ring and the smaller rounded end enters the tissue holder. I installed the fabric end on each rod first, and then the ring end, gently bending the rod (from the second rod to the last). The design of the softbox has a fabric mount with Velcro. Save this for last to help with the greater tension in this moment. My biggest problem was that the inner cone's tiny metal clips were attached to the small fabric loops. I tried this several times until I was successful. But to be honest, in about 10 minutes the softbox was assembled and installed on the Godox S-type mount with flash. I was relieved to read about some of the problems others were having.
