This is a handy cheap plastic switch, handy in an emergency. I wouldn't trust this thing in a high traffic or critical infrastructure installation (like health and safety) due to the lack of the obviously cheap switching element (which fortunately is in a clear plastic cover so you can see what it can't rely on). . For our purposes we simply install it in an uncritical skylight cabinet. If it were for something more important, like porch or hallway lighting, I would definitely buy something much more reliable. Whatever the case, the cabinet it's going to be installed in won't likely be cycled on and off more than 50 times a year in a non-critical location, making it suitable for this small project.
