Review on Premium Full/Queen Taupe Cotton Blanket by Elite Home Products: Grand Hotel Collection by Jhun Skaggs

I ordered this plum duvet although it was more burgundy than my other various shades of purple bedding. As soon as I opened it, I put the comforter in the washing machine along with some darker clothes. Big mistake! To my dismay after opening the washing machine when the cycle was complete. Because of what was left of the blanket, there were tons of tiny fibers all over my clothes. All clothes were covered with pile, like dust. There were even clusters of fibers of all sizes, from small to large. So I had to empty the washing machine to get rid of the remaining fibers and wash my dark clothes again (no blanket, of course!). Even after you put the blanket in the dryer alone to dry. MORE fibers fell out (4 handfuls). I cleaned the lint catcher 4 times during the cycle alone. After the drying cycle was complete, the duvet appeared normal. I think there was only one snag (that could be fixed) and I certainly thought there would be many after she shed. Overall the color wasn't exactly what I imagined or wanted and washing was a nightmare, but the blanket has a soft texture and is somewhat durable as there is still a decent blanket left after shedding. This works for what I need it for or can be used as a spare guest blanket. For some reason, it's hard to find a decently textured cotton blanket that isn't a neutral color. I just hope I don't have a second round of fluff fights the next time I do the laundry.
