Purchased 3 months ago after switching from DSL to cable internet. I used the Comcast list of compatible devices to select this modem and wireless router combo. It took a lot of effort to set up - at first I was able to connect the wireless network to my computer, but no internet. Then after calling comcast I got internet but no wifi. I had to call Comcast to send a signal to get out of bridge mode. The router lost its settings a few times for the first two weeks, but that didn't happen for some time - I was able to fix these issues without calling comcast. The Comcast installer had to come home due to a separate issue with the set-top box and recommended disconnecting the router's backup battery. He said he's seen problems with these types of routers with the battery attached. Overall setup was tricky, but probably more cumbersome than a router.
