I have a 55 gallon aquarium with fancy goldfish that have burned 3 filters in the last 6 months because I bought those cute little marimo moss balls and stuff continued to grow and clogged the filter intake pipe and impeller motor housing. I put this little bulb in a hanging tail filter, left it on for 12 hours and within 3 days all the moss was gone from the filter and I can see from one end of the tank to the other for the first time. For a long time. The light works automatically for 12 hours, turns off and on again for 12 hours. Works great! My goldfish are much happier and more active now because they have no trouble breathing with all that moss clogging everything around them. I recommend 10/10.
