It wasn't exactly easy to install at first, but after we installed it we thought it was fine. We bought the 20" for my daughter who is still not 100% comfortable without training wheels. Well, she took off with all her confidence and landed on the ground because the training wheels were totally bent and falling apart (and yes, they were tightened and secured as tight and secure as we could make it). It didn't work. for us in general. If you have a 20" bike and are thinking of buying one, I wouldn't recommend it. At all not safe for big bikes good luck
