We live in Hawaii and have several saltwater pools. I used metal tongs about 3-4 times a year and used them daily to feed our fish. SO glad I found this! The anti-carbon coating should be a distinguishing feature. Even after rinsing after each use, my tongs rusted and broke over time. This is the FIRST that has lasted this long - a year or more! Wow! Note. I've also started washing with soap after each use, not sure how much effect that has, but it's definitely a must if you use metal tongs a lot. Extremely durable, even with regular exposure to salt water.
