I bought flannel sheets for warmth (we live in Montana) but couldn't find them by the piece as we like to make king size top sheets and comforters for extra comfort in the cold , although the bed is queen size. These were the closest I could find to Revain that were distantly in our price range, so I decided to give them a try. We bought an apartment with a king bed, a built in queen bed and full size pillowcases. By the way, we ordered all of the above separately, and the colors matched perfectly, like we bought a set. We were amazed at how soft and warm they are. They feel very silky but when touched they feel like microflannel. Washing them will remove the extra fine lint in a dryer separator, so I definitely recommend washing them before use and washing them regularly when new to avoid pilling, just like flannel. I was surprised to find it was polyester. They are lighter than cotton but have the soft touch of cotton. A wonderful compromise and, as I said, very warm on the skin at night. I wouldn't recommend them for summer but they are nice and perfect for cold winters. If you're willing to risk synthetics but want warm flannel, these sheets are perfect. Just in case I washed them and dried them on a gentle cycle as they are not thick. It's nice because they feel light, but I want to be careful with them to protect them for a long time. A good range of solid colors too. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a very light, very soft, luxuriously comfortable bed sheet that offers the warmth of flannel without the high price tag. I think we will get them in more colors soon.
