My Fire 9th Edition 10 tab failed to detect the drive. Also tried this in my printer same result. I found an old 16GB SD card and installed it in my Fire and it was recognized immediately. I only cover the costs as I do not return the defective drive. It could potentially contaminate another product if resold.
