I really like the idea of this product and if you avoid the mistakes I made with it it might work for you. I poured some hot water into the sink while there were two bags and they warped so they could not be used. Even if you leave food in it for more than 2 days or don't wash it immediately, the bags will smell constantly. They're also dyeable, so I'd argue that you can't use them for everything you would use a zip-lock bag for, which unfortunately defeats the purpose of the purchase. They are nice and thick and wash easily (in warm water, not hot!). However, their thickness is a disadvantage as it makes it impossible to get all the air out of the bag, causing your food to spoil faster. I would recommend them for storing dry food like snack mixes.
