This is a very good mirror, although much smaller than I would like. However, it serves its purpose. The actual mirror is 5 inches. To see if it's right for you or not, take a compass and draw a 5 inch circle on a piece of paper and decide if it's good enough for you. Also remember that for an undistorted picture you have to be very close. It's a very clear, beautiful, sharp image and you'll see things you didn't know existed before. If you are traveling this is the perfect magnifying travel mirror. The suction cup is very strong and the lightweight mirror stays in place. Light is a great bright diffused light that really helps you see yourself. I also love how it lights up my entire bathroom when the lights are off. This is very handy when the power goes out; and the button on the face is so easy to turn on and off. Overall I'm very happy with it. If you want or need a slightly larger mirror, go for it. But if you are looking for a 5 inch travel mirror with magnification, this is the perfect option.
