Practical and has warmed up space

Bought an oversized pad as they no longer cut to size via an Best Buy order but I believe they do directly from their company website (Aug 2022). I didn’t want to pay shipping or a higher price there and purchased from Best Buy since I have prime.I went with low price vs overall size, so with your measurements you may go up further in size to get a better price. I was able to use the excess trim to go under another area rug, butted together pieces but works well (4x6) in the house and in the end my total leftover piece was 18”x24”. Bonus! Less waste!Waited for a sale and bought. Pad came rolled and folded over in a cardboard box. Planned to cut the pad myself. Went to menards and got a cheap carpet specific knife(not a box cutter or utility knife, the blades are different for carpet), found my metal yardstick, a sharpie, tape measure and fabric cutting mat. Laid it out on my living room and cut to size with no issue, other than I cut in shorter lengths to accommodate the yard stick/cutting mat lengths I had and some cuts needing 2 or 3 passes of the knife before moving on. Laid the pad under the rug and since have found the pad to be nice underfoot and it’s warmed up the room considerably.I know people complained about slide factor or scratch on floors and I wanted to prevent both. The back side of the pad I got has a rougher coating so I put the pad on top of one of those area rug lightweight gripper pads with no issues. Furniture stays in place and no sliding. Also no issues w tripping at edges (trimmed 1” in from sides all around as recommended). Finally someone complained about pad color: it’s a felt pad people - relax! This one is oatmeal in color w some strands of darker fibers throughout. Since it’s a pad and under the rug who cares, it’s a felt product for a utilitarian job.Pleased with purchase thus far
