We installed these headlights on two cars in 2018 and are very pleased with the results. Passing the 2019 car safety check, the light went through with no issues. This year, one of the cars passed without question, while the other car was rejected because it didn't match the LED headlights. According to the state police safety inspector, factory halogen headlights cannot be converted to LEDs. The information conveyed is that the housing that houses the bulb is designed to project a specific light pattern using a halogen bulb. Condensation occurs when the light from an LED does not emit the same light pattern as a halogen headlight, which can affect the other driver's view. Replacing a halogen bulb with an LED bulb is considered a modification of the factory headlight and is therefore one reason for a vehicle failure at the TÜV. We have been fortunate to have used these bulbs for almost two years and have returned vehicles to factory recommended bulbs.
