**Updated positive review**

Purchased HDEX80-KVM. Was dead on arrival. USB worked correctly but video over HDMI did not. Tried Cat5e and Cat6 cable, no difference. Both test cables were less than 6 feet long. I noticed that the build quality feels cheap and the components are very light and unreliable. Incidentally, the module also seemed to get very hot. I'm worried that even if it works properly, it won't last long. Looks like I'll be looking elsewhere. **Updated May 14, 2018** I spoke to a technician named Ryan who contacted me a few hours after I emailed tech support about issues with the first module. . He was extremely professional and quickly sent the second module which arrived a few days later. This one works! USB seems to have almost no latency, and 1080P video looks just as good as if connected locally. I use Cat6 cable at 50 feet with no problems. Also, the first module's heating problem must be related to its internal problem, since the working module does not have this problem. A few notes: 1) It will not pass any HDMI-CEC signal. This is a niche requirement and has not been specified. My network check error. 2) I would recommend powering the receiver module as this seems to help with higher current drain USB devices. If you are only using a mouse and keyboard, make sure you connect the power supply well at both ends. I recommend AV Access to everyone.
