Review on 🌡️ USB Powered Rechargeable TempCube: Enhanced Compatibility for Temperature Monitoring by Louis Asok

I'm very happy with the new technology but this device was difficult to connect and couldn't stay connected even though Wi-Fi was pretty much next to it. Constant error messages, extremely inaccurate readings (when actually connected) and ZERO replies from the "Customer Service" chat. Nice idea, but unfortunately not ready for prime time - especially at $160! *** UPDATE - Customer service asked me to try a second new unit for free, claiming the first one was defective and needed an update. So far I've upped my rating to 2 stars because they are actually trying to fix a situation that leaves many businesses unperturbed. Stay tuned I'll update how the replacement works when it's possible. ***** UPDATE ***** The tempCube team really did an incredible job fixing this issue - thanks for the great customer service and willingness to support their suggestion. The replacement cube just connected to my wifi and started reporting temperature and humidity to an app on my phone. You can set parameters and get notifications when your conditions exceed those parameters. The device drifted slightly in temperature based on the other two sources -- it was typically 1-2 degrees Fahrenheit above baseline, and relative humidity regularly deviated 3-8% from other hygrometers, again high -- with no way to tell to calibrate the device. This is fine as long as you don't have too strict environment settings. The only other minor issue is that you get a snapshot and update of the conditions reported to you every 15 minutes to save battery (you can't adjust the reporting frequency). This works in some situations, but I was hoping for real-time temperature and humidity alerts, but they come after the next 15 minute interval. Overall this is a really good idea with good execution but with some room for improvement - 4 stars.
