Review on πŸŽ’ Large Backpack Rain Cover by Mountainsmith by Christopher Gotcher

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Durable, easy-to-use storage bag

I was annoyed that my Apex 100 didn't come with a rain cover (anyone else old enough to remember when packaging had covers for sale, like tents with flies came). I ordered this although I wasn't sure if it would actually fit in my backpack. This worked great on my last trip, when it rained the whole time. The carrier net is expertly crafted and is part of the case. It's very compact and lightweight. The lid fits the Apex 100 perfectly and feels extremely sturdy. I have repeatedly picked the backpack up and thrown it on rocky terrain, but have not torn or punctured the cover. It was easy to attach to a backpack, but was easy to slip in snacks, maps, or bottles. At the end of the trip, only the backpack remained dry. Please do not tell Mountainsmith that you underrate this product.
