Review on Rockwell RW9282 4 1/2-Inch 60T HSS Compact Circular Saw Blade: Efficient Cutting Power in a Compact Size by Agustin Bush

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Blade looks well made (made in China)

As long as the metallurgy and heat treatment are good, I don't see a problem (haven't actually used it yet). As for using that 60 tooth blade in drywall, that doesn't sound like a good idea at all unless you expect to hit the metal behind the (installed) drywall. A blade with fewer teeth and a carbide tip would be a better choice, at least for professional continuous use. Of course, a homeowner could use this blade for a specific project, but carbide will stand up to the abrasive nature of plaster much better than high-speed steel. On the other hand, the blade isn't particularly expensive, and when cutting plaster continuously, a professional can simply dull it and pass the cost of the next blade on to their clients.

Pros
  • Saws, parts and accessories
Cons
  • Vulgarity
