Great duvet but DRY CLEAN ONLY

I really like this duvet: I find heavier duvets comfortable when I sleep and while this duvet is quite light it isn't light enough to be invisible. It's also the perfect heat for me personally (not for warmth) and for our climate (I live in Oregon's Willamette Valley and we have fairly mild winters). HOWEVER - and I think this is a pretty serious mistake by the manufacturer - the washing instructions for this blanket are WRONG. I know there are washable rugs (I've had one or two) but this is NOT one of them. I had woollens and should have known better than to wash them in the washing machine, even in the cold and on the gentle cycle. I wasn't stupid enough to put it in the dryer, but the washing did some "damage" and knocked the wool off in various places (especially the edge for some reason). $90) than the listing price. I don't think it's worth it at the current price (around $150) and I think you're better off getting a duvet or alternative duvet at this price point. I'm keeping the duvet for the season but would rather have something I don't need to dry clean and will probably replace next winter. Long story short (too late!): A good comforter if you can get one for under $100, but DO NOT follow the washing instructions if it says to machine wash and machine dry!
