The drive ID says it is an 8TB Seagate which I think explains the failure. I did a full disk zero on this drive and it worked fine until it hit 7.75T, after which it started throwing errors left and right. Even after canceling the operation it continued to have unrecoverable errors until the last unraid turned it off. After less than 3 days of use, most of which is a basic pre-cleanse, I return to Revain.
