The driver's door on my Jeep Cherokee would no longer open from the outside. The Jeep dealership's customer service department charged $190 for the part and another $200 for the replacement. I watched a short video on how to replace it yourself and then bought this actuator and replaced it in just over an hour. Works great and saved me a ton of money! It's only been installed for a few days, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work anymore. I'm not a mechanic and replacing the part was easy. It just takes a little patience to squeeze your hand in the door to reattach the piece. If you are unsure, take a picture with your phone of how everything is connected before disassembling the old actuator. I also recommend getting a pack of door clips as you will break some of these by ripping off the interior trim.
