Review on 🚗 Dorman 741-645 Power Window Motor and Regulator Assembly - Front Passenger Side - for Cadillac/Chevrolet/GMC Models by Alex Foley

Beware of porter photos. It shows an exact OEM picture of the controller/motor assembly. This is very deceptive. The OEM part has 6 mounting points while the doorman part only has 5. The window rails on the OEM are made of black plastic and are very solid (larger). Doorman window rails are made of white plastic and are MUCH thinner/smaller. In fact, this very item on my new doorman window regulator was broken when I opened the box. It's so weak I think it failed under its own voltage (2 wires from the governor motor are connected to it). The point where the cables attach in the window rail is the main stress point. OEM AC Delco took care of this by converting the entire 2.5" long plastic rail into one solid/strong piece with extra thick lugs that snap into the window pan/rail. 2 tabs that actually fix the guide in the track. These 2 small tabs were broken when I opened my package. The shipping box was not damaged. This article appears to have self-destructed.
