Review on Powerbuilt 647596 Heavy Duty Folding Tire Step for Trucks, SUVs, and RVs - Large Size in Red by Sean Spence

Purchased for use on 3500HD Dual. The tire size on my Dual is 235/80R/17. It fits and works great. I was concerned that the step would not remove the nut caps on my front wheels. As you can see from the photos it becomes clear and doesn't touch when I'm on the step. It's durable and supports my 240 pounds with no problem. Just note that it sits on a rubber tire so when you put your weight on the step the tire flexes and it looks like the step flexes. The step does not flex or flex, these are adjustable rubber stops that are pressed against the sidewall of the tire. The tire flexes under the weight, which makes the step feel like it's flexing. IMHO, the only weak point or design flaw is the rubber tabs on the ends of the unscrew adjusters. The photos show that when the stage loads, the stage goes down and the rubber tips look like the thread adjusters are coming off. I'm going to remove the rubber tips and replace them with nylon/plastic blocks that slide up and down on the tire as I walk up and down the steps. I am happy with my purchase and it does exactly what it is supposed to do.
