Review on 🛌 Utopia Bedding Cotton Queen Blanket Grey - 90x90 Inches - Soft and Breathable - 350 GSM by Nick Gathings

This blanket is exactly what I was looking for and I think if you really understand what a pure cotton blanket is before you buy it you won't have a problem. Regarding some of the negative reviews, I agree that the description is misleading when the duvet is described as 'soft'. A pure cotton blanket doesn't get soft - at least not in the traditional sense of the word. There is some stiffness and weight to the blanket, although I wouldn't say it's heavy by any means. It's thin, as I would expect, and combined with the weight, it keeps you warm in the cooler months and breathable in the warmer months (that's why I like and buy cotton blankets). The reviews said the blanket was more like a tablecloth. It's actually not that thin, but don't expect to get a soft, fluffy blanket because it's not what it is. According to some reviewers, it's very similar to a hospital blanket. Details and measurements for reference: I ordered a white comforter and it is pure white. I'm making this comment because another reviewer ordered white and referred to what he received as ecru. I suspect it must have been a shipping mix up as what I received is definitely the real white. The duvet didn't pill after washing and I didn't find a significant amount of lint in the dryer's lint trap. I use this duvet in a guest room and if the description is correct and the duvet is supposed to be 90x90 then it either doesn't work or it shrunk in the wash. Note. I did NOT follow the instructions (should be washed in cold water, gentle cycle, as much water as possible). Duvet measures approximately 92cm x 82cm after washing in warm water with other clothes and tumble drying. The queen size mattress I use it on is about 10 inches high and the comforter falls about 12 inches from the top of the mattress on both sides. It drops about 16 inches from the top of the mattress to the foot end of the bed, just enough for me to tuck it in safely. So I think it's good and I'm satisfied. However, I bought the same duvet in gray. for another guest room with a queen bed so I will measure the comforter before and after washing and this time I will follow the instructions to see if it makes a difference and update this review accordingly.
