In general, the device works well. No problems with KVM sharing as well as webcam and speakers. Nice addition to my previous SeaWit unit. However, it works a little differently, which takes some getting used to. You double-click on Scroll Lock THEN press Enter to toggle it. It's fast enough, maybe a second to switch. If you haven't filled all 4 ports it will jump to an empty port and then automatically jump to the next port, which is a bonus, but it's kind of weird that it jumps to a dead channel at all. Sometimes after switching to the next active port I get a whole screen of static noise. Just blinking black and white dots. You need to switch back to the old channel and switch again. I don't know if this is my HP Pavilion 27xi monitor or device. Slightly annoying. To save time when I have 3-4 ports up and running I press a button on the front panel which is a lot harder than it should be. The keys aren't actually buttons, just pressure points that exert a slight pressure. It's easy to move your finger a little and wait and wait for the channel to change. So move your finger and try again. An annoying way to spend more time saving time. Overall it's pretty decent, but not an upgrade given the price. Although I bought a refurbished one to get a 40% discount. I got this to replace SeaWit, to add an audio feed and webcam sharing feature, and to fix a very annoying SeaWit USB port bug that was messing up my computers. As with most low-cost technologies, you replace problems with other problems. I bought this based on the specs and reviews, even though most comparable products have the same mediocre reviews. I can't recommend it, but considering it's slightly better than the SeaWit with more features, I guess I should. I can't help but wonder if a few of the 4 port, audio and USB competitors are any better, but I don't want to spend money YET to find out.
