Review on Deep Cleanse & Gentle Exfoliation: EZBASICS Facial Cleansing Brush - Ultra Hygienic Silicone, Waterproof & Sonic Vibrating, Violet by Cindy Carlin

Update June 2021: I loved the ASNME brush so much I decided to buy a second shower brush. I was disappointed to find that the original product was no longer available and spent several months regretting not having purchased a second one. Then I found an updated version! I can confirm that this is indeed an ASNME brand with some improvements. One of my complaints about the first version was that the blue light didn't turn on by itself (you had to fully use the red light first, and then the blue light came on). Now they've fixed it so you can switch straight to the blue light. Perfect! I would say that the speed of the brush has also changed from the original and is now a bit more powerful. The brush itself is still soft and comfortable for sensitive skin. In my original review I said I also liked the EZBASICS brush. But over time I realized that I don't care. It is too hard. I now only use the ASNME brush and have also given my EZBASICS brush to my husband to use in the shower. He likes it a lot, but I prefer the softer ASNME brush. First, I'll briefly summarize my impressions and the solution, in case you don't want to go into small details. Read on if you need more details. Final Thoughts: In the end I decided to send PMD back. While I liked the feel of the rose quartz and warmth, I didn't like the silicone brush at all. And the steep price was enough to convince me to send it back. I really liked the feel of the Chitronic unit and if the heater worked better I might refrain from at least keeping the brush in the shower. However, since the heat was negligible and the brush was more expensive than the EZBASICS brush, I ended up sending the Chitronic back. WINNER: I ended up with 2 brushes left. I like the ASNME because it has a heated serum application plate and the silicone bristles are super soft (I have rosacea and sensitive skin). Portability and price are also great. I need to look for some kind of holdall. And as for the drying bowl, I found a good quality sink strainer to be ideal for bristle drying. I have an ASNME brush near the sink, but I've decided to keep the EZBASICS shower brush. I really like how the brush feels in hand, how it gets into hard-to-reach areas, nice vibration and a great price. Unfortunately, my husband liked it too and stole it! I had to buy a second one haha. In my drawings, the pink brush is PMD, the teal brush is ASNME, the lighter teal brush is Chitronic, and the blue brush is EZBASICS. I ordered EZBASICS after trying and returning two brushes, therefore there is not a single photo of all the brushes together. Brush Head Feel: Here I prefer the Chitronic device. The bristles are dense and soft, and the bristles go all the way to the edge, making it easy to get into hard-to-reach places, such as your hair. B. to reach the nose. ASNME bristles are the softest and equipped with a kind of flexible silicone pad that makes them very soft and gentle and can be the best choice for sensitive skin. However, the bristles are not as dense as on other devices. The EZBASICS bristles are fairly short and not that soft, but I like the shape of the brush and how easy it is to reach around the nose. It is best suited for maneuvering in tight spaces. My least favorite part of PMD is that the bristles seem stiffer, they don't go over the edge, the brush head is smaller and I really don't like the small part at the top with the thicker, stiffer bristles. It ends up being bristles that get into tight spots, which is fine around the nose but not around the eyes. Too sharp.2. Heating function: I like the PMD device best. I love the feel of rose quartz, the warmth is just right and you can keep it warm with serums and moisturizers for as long as you like. It's godlike! ASNME has a similar function but with a metal plate. It's still good, but not as good as quartz, and the red light/heat setting only lasts about 1.5 minutes, which isn't long enough. So I have to turn the device off and on again and press several times to heat up again. After the red cycle ends, the thing automatically switches to blue light with vibration. That's fine, but I prefer red and want the two functions to have their own button press. You can't bring up the blue light feature without waiting for the red light to do its thing, and you can't keep the red light and heat on for as long as you'd like. This is my biggest complaint about this device. Also, the product ad says that the blue light is accompanied by heat, which I don't. The heating is switched off when the red light function ends. Chitronic has a heat setting but no flat plate for applying serum. In addition, the heat is hardly noticeable. It also supposedly has heated purple light to disinfect and dry the bristles, but the bristles are always wet afterwards so I'm not sure this is very effective. ECBASICS does not have a heating function, although there are massage grooves on the back, so maybe this side can be used to apply serums without heating? Sonic Vibration: PMD has the most intense vibration (adjustable) and I feel like it cleans pores more effectively as a result. There are several settings to choose from. However, intense vibrations may not be the best for sensitive skin. EZBASICS is almost as intense as PMD at high frequencies and I prefer the feel of that (not as rattling) and you can adjust the vibration more or less intense as you prefer. Chitronic is next in line and again there are a few adjustments and you can increase/decrease the intensity as well. ASNME has the least vibration and I feel that the metal plate side has more vibration than the brush side. It's disappointing but maybe it would be better for sensitive skin. There are two intensities to choose from.4. Portability: ASNME is the smallest device, it can be easily carried and even fits in a small purse. Since there is no handle, I think it's less likely to break. The EZBASICS unit is larger but very thin so it still moves very well. Chitronic is also very small, but the handle sticks out. The PMD is the largest device and takes up the most space, especially in a suitcase. However, this is the only brush that comes with a travel case. Light Therapy: I gave the win here to the ASNME as it has red, blue and green light therapy. Chitronic has red and blue lights and violet lights for disinfection. ASNME red light is great because it comes with a calming warmth that I really like. PMD and EZBASICS devices do not have light therapy. However, in all of this, I feel light therapy is somewhat useless. I'm not sure it will do much good in such a short session.6. Capture: PMD has superior grip compared to other devices. I like the feel of the EZBASICS brush better and it doesn't slip out of my hand. Chitronic is not bad as it has a handle. ASNME simply reaches out; and because it's small, it feels a little less secure in the hand and can get a little slippery, especially when applying serums and moisturizers.7. Charging convenience: All 4 devices are said to hold a charge for a very long time. I find ASNME to be the easiest to charge as the connection is magnetic. The EZBASICS brush is not far behind as it is also wireless and includes a wireless charging stand. The fact that you need a separate device for charging is why I gave it a second rating. The Chitronic and PMD units require a plug to be inserted, which makes them appear slightly less waterproof, although the hole is covered with silicone. The hardest part was connecting the PMD. I had some resistance.8. Timer: EZBASICS brushes and Chitronic brushes have a timer function and switch off automatically when cleaning. However, EZBASICS shuts down after 5 minutes, which is awfully long and more like a timer to prevent draining the battery too quickly. Chitronic works for 2 minutes, which is the best cleaning time, so Chitronic wins. Neither PMD devices nor ASNME devices have a purge timer. The ASNME device has a timer for light functions, but this timer actually annoys me, hence I got the lowest rating.9. Accessories: All four devices come with a charging cable. Neither of these include an actual wall plug, so you'll need to provide one. The PMD comes with a hard case. It doesn't need a dryer because it can stand (although it does tip over a bit, which worries me as a fall can shatter the quartz). Chitronic comes with a plastic cup for drying the unit, but no travel case. ASNME and EZBASICS do not have any accessories (except the charger). I wish they came with a holdall/suitcase and drying rack.10. Price: The PMD is significantly more expensive than the other two devices. I paid $120 for it. Chitronic and ASNME were under $30 and about the same. The cheapest of the four was the EZBASICS device and I bought it for about $18.
