First of all I like that it's red. It took a little research to figure out how it works as there were no instructions in English. Parts in the box fell off or it was partially disassembled, so at first I thought it was broken. After putting all the pieces together and figuring out how it works, we were hooked. This works very well. Can be sharpened smoothly without chewing pencils. The clamp on the desk isn't very tight, but there's no need to hold the sharpener in place after you've slid the pencil into place, freeing your other hand to hold the sharpener while the handle is turned.
