Review on Metra 99 8231 Single Installation 2002 2006 by Marco Habersham

Real rubbish. Bought this for my wife, a 2005 Camry SE. Pros: 1. It wasn't too expensive and was delivered quickly. Disadvantages: 1. DOES NOT FIT. I'm not talking about a "gap below". I mean the single DIN main unit I have won't go through because that plastic is too thick. Looking to install the metal grommet that came with your aftermarket stereo? Too bad it's not an option at all, it won't work.2. No clamps or anything to fix the device in the dashboard3. Thin plastic where it counts. Luckily I overcame myself and cut off some of the plastic on the sides and MacGyver installed an OEM metal bracket around my stereo and screwed a few screws into the bottom of the tray and then glued the front bezel to the bottom tray. piece and started to work. I had to remove the bezel from my stereo (Pioneer DEH-S4000BT) to fit it to the rear (because again a head unit cannot be threaded through the front of the kit). Hopefully my setup will last us a while. I would appreciate a refund for the hassle, although I know I can't return it as I had to modify it to get any functionality from it.
