I print many thousands of label pages a month. Many thousands. I have used HP, Dell and Oki printers. Okie died after a few thousand pages. HP and Dell suck the toner out of you. They also do not correspond to the print quality. Someone else called Brother's toner policy "draconian." This statement could not be more wrong. These cartridges do NOT have a smart chip that disables them to force you to buy a new one. Instead, they have a gear that rotates each printed page a little. If the gear rotates too far, the printer will detect this and mark the cartridge as empty. But the cartridge may be half full of toner. So you just have to loosen the 3 screws at the end of the cartridge, turn the gear back to its original position and put the 3 screws back. Lasts 2 minutes. If you want it smoother, you can also fill the cartridge with toner. I don't do this because the cost of toner is about 80% of the cost of a new cartridge. OEM cartridges can be purchased for around $18. They last a long time, especially when you reset. I now spend less than half on toner compared to HP or Dell. Based on my experience with Brother, I will NEVER buy another HP, Dell or Oki printer. Thank you brother.
