Review on IC3D Grey 3Mm Printer Filament by Michael Boyd

Excellent materials for 3D printing Filament

I eat crow. From one star to five stars. Turns out I had a moisture problem. I kept all my threads in 2.5 gallons. A giant jumbo bag along with two 10g silica gel bags which I heated in the oven at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for over an hour. I've had amazing results with IC3D filament except for this particular blue spool. After several unsuccessful prints, I came to the conclusion that the filament was no good. After writing the review below I contacted IC3D. You are super cool. They immediately sent a replacement spool. However, in the meantime I have ordered a few of these: ShieldPro humidity indicator card, 10-pack, 10-60%, 6 oddities, I put one in a bag with a blue IC3D filament. Even though it contained 2 x 10g of desiccant, it showed quite a bit of moisture! I put some freshly dried desiccant along with the filament and let it dry for almost a week to dry well (as shown by ShieldPro). I'm doing a 3 hour print tonight and none of the issues I had before are present. To be clear, this is the same thread I complained about, no spare spool. So the original coil was fine and it was my fault the whole time. As for the coil that IC3D sent me as a replacement, I will pay for it. I would still order another spool as it is a great color. The ShieldPro moisture indicators are great too! First review: This is rubbish. I haven't been able to successfully print a single thing with it. I don't bother with IC3D at all, just this blue one. I think it's the wrong diameter. What happens is that I misfeed several (maybe 10 layers) correctly and the object just tears like it's perforated. These layers go through all the elements in the build. This happened with every This roll I bought 4 other rolls and they are fine (haven't tried any yet) I've been very happy with the other colors and have gotten fantastic prints from them. Too bad I throw away 3/4 coils.
