LEDs should be the end of old school incandescent bulbs. They should last a million years (slightly exaggerating), use less energy, etc. etc. The last set of license plate LEDs I bought were great. be installed easily, like this one. and were very bright. again. like this one. They lasted 11 months. I'm sure they had a 1 year guarantee. but. I would rather not install the same bulb for 1 year of life. Check out previous brand reviews. 1 year is actually very good. With hope. I can get a few years out of this set. unless. I will likely resort to incandescent lighting for lighting which may require traffic delay and possible disruption.
