Normal price, advantages and disadvantages

I installed it on the back of a 23ft camper trailer that is towed behind a 16ft vehicle. Pros: Significantly brighter and sharper monitor compared to the Furrion system, which I also tried; The obvious buttons on the front of the monitor make it easier to control the monitor than the Furrion's hidden side buttons. The equipment is not bad, the camera is made of metal, not plastic. Another "plus" is that Haloview offers 3 different monitor sizes when looking at their lineup. That's 5 inches, which I consider the golden mean in my car. Easy to see (bifocals) but not so big as to clutter the dash or block your view. I had no problems "pairing" the monitor and camera. Cons: Sometimes shows stuttering at highway speeds (not always and works great on backups) i.e. video stutters and sometimes freezes for 1-2 seconds. The "booster" antenna sold by Haloview (which moves the antenna 10 feet closer to the roof of the trailer) didn't help at all with this problem, so I returned it. The base of the camera antenna mounting nut is rusting after 3 months of use, works but I think I'll have to replace it at some point. The included suction cup windshield monitor mount is made of very cheap plastic and flimsy plastic does not fully tighten. So far he manages to hold the screen. When Haloview was contacted about this, Haloview emailed back but they weren't very helpful or offered a solution other than buying a different mount. There's also a metal frame mount, but I couldn't use it in my situation.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • The list is long.
