Great customer service

This camera works great. The picture quality is really good. Backing up my trailer is a lot easier, not to mention letting you know what's behind you that you can't otherwise see. It's a small investment compared to the cost of my trailer. Your customer service is the best I've seen in a long time. I had an issue with the camera not wanting to connect to the monitor. They sent me a replacement camera for free, no hassle and very fast, I had it the next day. The new camera was connected…

YET no luck in automotive and automotive electronics

I've tried pretty much everything to get this to work. The camera package should include a power cord for the setup process. Walking back and forth from the truck to the back of the RV is a pain and STILL doesn't work. I will try 1 more thing but after that. Did! Update: It's set up and running with a 12v portable battery. Did over 250 miles yesterday and the camera worked a bit. It has very poor lag, and if there are a lot of power cords, it cuts out for a minute or two. During the drive, I…

Wide-angle lens distorts image

Objects are MUCH closer than they appear. A wide-angle lens distorts the image so much that it cannot be used as a rear view, either on the freeway or in a parking lot. While the guide lines are parallel on the monitor, they are actually heavily distorted due to the fisheye effect. It's hard to judge the angle of the trailer. The lag is very noticeable, but acceptable. I'm towing a very short trailer (T@b 320) with a camera just above the license plate. I expect latency will be an issue with…

Easy to install on the TT Furion with pre-wired cable

The 5" MC5111 with the Furion adapter kit was easy to trailer mount to power the camera. This was covered in the Haloview guide not explained, probably due to the fact that it is a pre-wired Furion trailer. In any case, this information would be useful in the installation guide. After researching the Forest River forum, I found answer. After that, the device connected quickly. The 5" screen is more than enough to see the traffic behind you. I feel like a 7" screen would be too big for my…

Haloview MC5111 5 " HD 720P Wireless Digital Backup Camera

Well I bought these after watching the Love your RV YouTube channel. Installation was very easy and the monitor automatically switched with it coupled to the camera. I bought this mainly to secure the trailer in my backyard which is narrow so I set the camera angle next to the trailer bumper. I want to increase the angle of view a bit when driving on the freeway so I can overtake vehicles better.I had a reversing camera system in a class A motorhome with two viewing angles that could be…

Normal price, advantages and disadvantages

I installed it on the back of a 23ft camper trailer that is towed behind a 16ft vehicle. Pros: Significantly brighter and sharper monitor compared to the Furrion system, which I also tried; The obvious buttons on the front of the monitor make it easier to control the monitor than the Furrion's hidden side buttons. The equipment is not bad, the camera is made of metal, not plastic. Another "plus" is that Haloview offers 3 different monitor sizes when looking at their lineup. That's 5 inches…

Arrived quickly and in perfect condition, fits my 98 F150 XLT

Works great and easy to install. Very nice to see my ball hitch reversing to hitch my caravan. I used to have to go out and watch and make adjustments a few times to get the ball under the clutch. Very frustrating! The camera comes with a license plate mount and is ready to use. Remove the top two license plate screws, insert the camera bracket with the camera attached, and reinstall the two license plate screws. The camera power cable came out the back, I routed it through the spare tire…

Looks solid, despite some issues a good buy - see below

The camera is fairly easy to install with a few simple tools. I used a drill, wire strippers, some butt connectors and then some caulk to finish the project. Installation took about an hour. I connected the power source through the center marker light. For those who have pre-wiring available, things get even easier. When using sidelights, I only have to turn on the sidelights or headlights to power the camera and thus turn it on. I drilled a hole for the wires and then used the included rubber…

Great alternative to the expensive Furrion system

I just installed a Haloview wireless camera and monitor using a Haloview Furrion adapter. You don't actually need the adapter, but the installation looks better with it. I tested the adapter separately. I only gave 3 stars. Obviously this is a lot cheaper than the Furrion device. Plus, it's completely ready to go as the Furrion cables are already installed on your trailer. If you're not using a Haloview adapter, the Haloview kit includes everything you need to easily bolt to the outside of the…
