The horrible bulb design is down and the back cracks to compress the bulb part that doesn't even work. The hose is too stiff, it pushes the suction part up onto the surface so it doesn't suck. Terrible design. I'll stick with buying a new one at the pet store or elsewhere. The open and close valve is also out of reach, it's on the bottom so you can't put it down when your bucket is full. The pipe is too stiff and won't stay in the bucket when you pour the water into the bucket. My tank has 55 gallons of fresh water, so I have to flush the gravel frequently. This thing will no longer be part of my aquarium tools. i go to the garbage
