Upon opening, first impression was oh gosh the smell is quite strong. Then, started using it, and after every bath, all I wanted to do was sniff my kids. I think the strong scent is due to the concentration of the product. It's gooey/thicker than other over the counter bath products. I would describe the scent as a blend of sandalwood & something earthy.I'm not really sure what/how canlendula smells like (It reminds me of the sandalwood bar soap my mom likes to use when growing up). The bottle is about half gone, when I took it and used it on my eldest child and myself, and kept it. I prefer to use it over the usual brands like Olay, Love planet(?), dove.etc. It feels cleaner without the heavy fragrance and slippery-like texture. Going to order a couple more now! also to note - all my kids and myself have eczema, sensitive skin and food allergies. So far no noticeable breakouts from using it. Will update it anything changes.
