Has worked great since install (I waited a bit before writing this review. DVDs do not require settings to play other regions. Blu-ray has three options for different regions and is very easy to install (one button for each I've only tested UK and Japanese Blu-Ray and no problem. It's SONY so picture quality isn't a problem. It's not the latest SONY model but I was ok with it, it's not cheap, but for the freedom to buy any Blu-Ray region/ DVD and viewing are paid, highly recommended.
