The extended lip bar is well made.
This extended locking plate was needed so that the door handle does not touch the painted trim. Luckily, the mounting screw holes were positioned the same as the old striker plate, making it easy to assemble and install. I really thought it was a bit overpriced for a simple metal stamping, but I understand that this is a low volume part and it takes a lot of work to finish individual parts, so overall I'm happy with this part.
