Bought this for my desk. Started out pretty quiet but plastic housing begins to rattle/vibrate after a couple weeks of use. It's worse at higher speeds and isn't surprising given the forceful movement of the motor and the super light weight of the housing. I put a weight on the base and it helps minimize the noise a little. Some cushioning between the plastic cage pieces (such as a sort of ghetto piece of masking tape) also seems to help reduce vibration noise. I can't believe I just spent 5 minutes of my life writing this paragraph about a tiny plastic fan.
