I measured my little friend's head and it was right on the line between xxs and xs. I thought I was going to take a chance and guess he would give in a bit as I wanted him to be neat and not fall off his head. It turned out to be a great choice and there is a little elastic gathering at the back of the hat that was just enough to stretch a bit but still stay on your head perfectly! The quality is excellent and I think they turned out perfect for our family photos. !
