Great product, withstood several hours of heavy rain!

Firstly, this is not a paid or motivated review, nobody asked me to write it. Second, I've only used the bag once so I can't comment on durability. My car has railings to which we attached a bag. It's also worth noting that we used 6 buckle straps connected by guardrails, plus an additional ratchet strap in the middle and one of the longer secondary buckle straps that came with the carrier, also near the middle. With six main straps and two additional straps, the bag didn't move an inch. After several days of searching for the right bag for my car, I decided on this one. It seemed that with all softshell bags there was always a concern when it rained about condensation and seepage through the zip. However, we drove through Utah and Colorado in the middle of summer and weren't expecting rain, so we ignored those concerns. In the mountains of Colorado, of course, the rain has stopped. And not only was it raining, we sat in the pouring rain, stuck in HOURS of traffic due to accidents and weather conditions, and often stood still. When we got to our destination, we opened the trunk of the car and everything was dry. There is no water in the bag, nothing wet or even damp. When we first loaded up the car and drove away, we accidentally scratched the bag on the garage's low ceiling. A 1/2 inch hole broke in the pocket, and yet our stuff stayed dry during the rain. There don't seem to be any problems with wind protection either.
