When I was replacing the entire exhaust system on my 26 year old Jeep YJ I thought it was time to buy a new oxygen sensor. The old OEM was fine/no error codes and was NTK too. Reading articles online and on the Jeep forums, most professional mechanics say it's best to use NTK as it best matches the old ECU. For about $30 it wasn't difficult and would have been impossible to get the old O2 off the front pipe as it had seized and rusted after 26 years. The new one works very well and is slightly faster than the old O2 as it switches from rich to lean quicker. No codes after about 100 km of driving, so this NTK works fine.
