NGK Oxygen Sensor 23023 Review

Bought to replace a faulty sensor and a little over 2 months later that sensor seemed to fail and the truck had me check the engine again for O2. I expected more from NTK.

Check engine light off but now I'm getting code 50 with this sensor on my 3.0 Chrysler. Which was code 51 prior to the replacement which turned on the check engine light.

Need a new oxygen sensor due to bad smog test on 95 jeep cherokee. Found a good price on a returned O2 sensor so thought I'd give it a try, should have known better! Block installed, smog check renewed, already high NOx increased by 500 PPM. Bought a new O2 sensor, installed it and handed it over.

This O2 sensor changed my '91 2.5 liter Jeep Wrangler. I had trouble passing a smog test in California and after installing this sensor my jeep went from being a heavy pollutant with triple maximum HC emissions to just 1/4 of maximum. The smog technician was amazed at the difference.

Fast delivery and reasonable price. The thread had a protective cover with lubricant already applied. The installation guide came with a puff rotation chart, which was good. Could be improved with a better chart. It took me several readings to reconcile the procedure with the chart. Using bold and thin arrows was a headache. Once I figure it out, anyone can.

There is no better oxygen sensor for your Jeep. I had a Bosch sensor in my jeep and noticed a reduction in fuel consumption. I noticed that pretty quickly. I had another sensor for about a year and noticed it wasn't running as smoothly and was a bit low. My 363,000 miles 1992 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L could not handle the high NOX at 15 and 25 mph (1028 and 1800). Catalyst replaced and tuned, fitted a two year old Denso oxygen sensor, still counting cylinders fast, decarburized cylinders, used 91 octane and guaranteed to let gas additive through.
