Advantages: Quiet and blows well. However, the 3-blade design makes a sound similar to that of a helicopter when it pushes air out. Bad: THE LIGHT NEVER GOES OUT! Does this fan only come with a 3 inch downpipe? You laugh? I have vaulted ceilings so I need a longer pipe that will only fit a custom sized pipe (smaller than anything you can find in a big store). As a result I had to tweak something to make it work instead of spending more money on a custom order. Now that this is installed I can swear I can see the LED light flickering subtly when the fan is running at night. It's not bright enough to illuminate a room, but the flicker is noticeable. To update. After a few months, the flickering is so intense that the brightness wakes me up at night. It's like lightning. Many buyers are sorry. Stay healthy, buy a cheap fan from Walmart and sleep well. I contacted the company for support but no response. I feel cheated.
