I have installed quality halogen bulbs in my wife's van for several years and they have always worked for me. My wife, on the other hand, always said they should be lighter. There's a noticeable improvement in brightness with these headlights over the brightest halogens, but they stay where they're supposed to and cause no obvious problems for oncoming drivers. They should last longer than halogen bulbs which rarely last more than 6 months in our Kia van (wife keeps headlights on constantly while driving). The only problem I had with the installation was that the wiring had to be taped wiring as they replace H11B halogen bulbs which rotate the slats into position. No wiring issues so far, just great night vision. Update: After 18 months one of the lights dimmed and then randomly went back to normal. I was happy to purchase/install another set of these bulbs and now have a working spare. That's a really good lifespan considering how much she drives and she never turns off.
