Absolutely great tool. Tons of power, bars are good and tidy, all parts fit. I have used a number of other magnetic drills. Most recently Evolution and Jancy Slugger. This is the best tool today. For those who complain about wobbling in the quick release, it either doesn't fit well, or it has damaged/worn bits, or they just don't know what the tool is for. The new core bits I bought are perfect for quick loosening and have very little runout. This is NOT a drill or milling machine. A runout of a few thousandths is normal and acceptable for such an instrument. However, this practice is VERY true. So far I've punched holes in a bunch of 1/4 and 3/8 soft plates, 10W22 flange and wall, and a few bits and bobs. Absolutely no complaints. The quick release handle is a great feature. By moving the drill body up the guide, you can use the included 1/2" drill chuck and NORMAL length twist drill bit. There is no need to buy a set of short bits just for this tool. It's a big deal and a huge savings. The magnet base grips and holds the drill well in any position. The travel of the power head is about 4", which is enough to drill holes in material as thick as you have drill bits/mills. Overall, I am very satisfied. There are bigger and worse units, but they cost around $2500 and up more For under the Grande this is exactly the right thing.
