Review on 🚲 SportRack Ridge Hitch Mount Bike Carrier by Bryan Fisher

Installed on a 2017 Honda Pilot with a factory hitch. Bought this after learning the first one we bought locally required removing the bikes to tilt the rack to access the tailgate. We are so glad that we used the U-turn feature dozens of times during our 1500 mile round trip to get to the car's charge. No problems for the whole trip. The rubber forks that the bikes ride on shifted a bit while riding on the rack, but that's about it. Panning was excellent and very reliable. In our case we only installed 2 bikes out of a possible 4, but I understand why people say installing 4 is a problem. I was a bit skeptical about installing the receiver mount and wasn't sure what terrain we might be in, so I made a small modification. The included setup uses a short bolt that attaches through the right side of the receiver to a captured welded nut inside. I threaded a longer 3.5" class 8 bolt from the opposite side (using a thick regular washer and lock washer as washers since the threads didn't go all the way) through the captive nut and out the other side. I then added a second nut and used the included washers to ensure everything was tight across the entire receiver. It takes about an extra minute to install/remove the hitch post, but I didn't want to risk any problems in the long run Ride. I gave 4 stars just because the bike mounts are a bit misaligned and doesn't have much room if you really want to fit 4 bikes. But this device is fantastic value for money and works great. We recommend.
