Review on JINSHI Men's Lightweight Quick-Dry Hiking Cargo Pants with Waterproof Multifunctional Pocket - Fashionable and Casual Pants by Bilal Cartwright

Thin but roomy - my new review

The description on these pants says "lightweight" and that is indeed correct. The material is thin but does have a bit of a fleecy back so they feel nice against bare legs. The legs of the pants are cut very wide, which is great if that's your preference. I can see these working great as over-pants to give jeans or sweatpants an extra water-resistant layer. They have cinch cords at the bottom to take up some of the bulk, but you are left with a cord loop hanging out. If you were actually trekking through the woods on a hike. I can see these cords getting snagged on downed limbs and other brush. That could be a hazard and cause a fall. Perhaps easily remedied by just making sure the loop is tucked up inside and not exposed. They have belt loops which is nice. Plenty of pockets but the cargo pockets don't have a closure really, just a flap that. flaps. You'd just have to be careful what you put in there, especially on a hike where stuff could get jostled (or if you take a tumble because the leg cuff cinch cords got caught on something).Unfortunately for me these pants are way too short, but I can't discount for that. They are not advertised as a tall size. I'm about 6'4" so I ordered the 2XL hoping they would have enough length. They hit about mid-ankle on me. I did measure the length and they are exactly as advertised at about 42" long overall. I might use these as over-pants with jeans or something underneath, but I can't see wearing them by themselves. Too loose fitting top to bottom in my opinion. Too thin to be warm in winter by themselves. Consider your purposes for use and they may be perfect for you.
