Review on ⚙️ Monte Carlo 5CY60BK Cyclone Energy Star 60" Outdoor Ceiling Fan: Stylish Matte Black Design with 5 Blades by Mary Alvarado

This outdoor fan does NOTHING except atmosphere!

I bought this fan to put outside on our slipway at the pier. We had a 48-inch Hampton Bay outdoor fan from Home Depot, but needed more reach. The 48 inch fan had a great RPM and wind/breeze generator, but it wasn't wide enough to cover our lakeside deck. That's why we chose this 60" outdoor fan. We mounted it on a 4 foot pole like the Hampton Bay 48" and found that unlike all other stock fans, it had a 1/2" - Rod required in place of the standard 3/8" rod. Well, they don't make it, so we had to custom make it from a 48 inch galvanized steel plumbing pole. It worked well. However, once we had it installed, we found the most disappointing. Unlike ALL ceiling fans we've owned for 25-30+ years, this fan ran HIGH, like most low to medium wattage fans. We thought something was wrong so we spent 2 hours taking it off, analyzing it and putting it back on to find that it still moves slower at altitude than any other fan we've seen. It barely moved the air/wind outside as it was an outdoor fan. As soon as we got home from the lake I checked out the montecarlofans dot com website and found that the speed of this fan was TERRIBLE. , revolutions are only 37 rpm. That's 1 revolution in 2 seconds. at HIGH RPM is a ridiculous 147, which is about 2 1/2 RPM. Unlike almost every other ceiling fan, when you put them up you can barely see the blades, they spin so fast, you can literally count the revolutions with them, they spin so slowly. and you can disassemble any blade on high. I would strongly advise anyone not to buy this fan. The custom bottom pillar hardware and TERRIBLE low RPM make this fan just for "atmosphere" and not "functionality". Many Thanks. winter stone
