Works pretty well best on men

grams old). I think it must be around 50 years old. A bit bare but works fine. This was my introduction to shaving brushes. I decided to try an inexpensive synthetic brush and this was my choice. In this case, it was better to get the lowest price and only pay shipping. It was cheaper than Amazon's so-called "free" version. It arrived in good condition, on time, well packaged, safe and sound. My first impression was that it was a bit smaller than I expected. It is lightweight, sterilized (according to the packaging) and ready to use. I brought it home and soaked it in water and then tried to make some foam. I use a low, oversized 10-ounce coffee mug that's lost its saucer instead of a shaving bowl and Neutrogena glycerine soap, which I melt in the microwave to set in place. Once it has set, it works like a bar of shaving soap. The handle provides enough grip for your fingertips. It took no more trouble than the badger or boar brush I loaded the soap with. It's definitely stiffer than a natural brush, both in the bowl and on my face. It lacks the luxurious, silky feel of dead wet animal fur gliding across your card. I also think it takes a little more facial wrist motion to make a good lather, but this can vary a bit depending on how much water I've poured into the cup. After use, I gently squeeze the soap out of the brush back into the cup before rinsing it out of the soap. The fibers feel much rougher between the fingers. Seems to dry quickly. This is a decent product for the price. I'm satisfied so far after one use. It's good enough and looks like it should last a long time. I'm pretty frugal/cheap/frugal/stingy and would never spend $80 on a really premium badger brush. Also, I think the badger fur should stay where it belongs. Someone has to come up with a nutria brush and get these things from the reserves here.

Pros
  • made in Italy
Cons
  • poorly thought out
